Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark was announced as the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year on Sunday. However, Clark also received MVP consideration. A'ja Wilson ultimately won the award via a unanimous vote, though. Where did Clark end up finishing in MVP voting?

Clark finished fourth in 2024 WNBA MVP voting. Wilson, as mentioned, won the award while Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart finished second and third in that order. Alyssa Thomas finished behind Clark in fifth place.

Some rumors swirled during the season that Clark could shock the WNBA world and win the award. Wilson, though, enjoyed a historic campaign and was always going to earn the MVP. Meanwhile, Collier and Stewart had tremendous seasons as well.

Nevertheless, finishing in the top five of MVP voting as a rookie is an impressive accomplishment to say the least. Clark's future is bright without question. She has already established herself as one of the best players in the league.

A look at Caitlin Clark's 2024 season

Clark was the unanimous Rookie of the Year winner. She was also named to the AP All-Rookie Team and AP All-WNBA First Team. Clark broke multiple records this season on the court. Her presence also led to new attendance records for the WNBA.

She is changing the game.

Her statistics tell the story of her quality first season in the league. The 22-year-old averaged 19.2 points per outing. She added 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per contest.

Clark was not always incredibly efficient with her shot, as she recorded a 41.7 field goal percentage and 34.4 three-point shooting percentage. With that being said, she had games where it seemed as if she could not miss. One has to imagine she will develop more consistency as she adds to her WNBA experience.

Clark had one of the best rookie seasons of all-time. It would have been a memorable campaign even if her team failed to reach the postseason. The Fever, however, clinched the No. 6 seed and they are currently playing in the first round of the playoffs against the Connecticut Sun.

Caitlin Clark can make her first WNBA season even more memorable with a deep playoff run. Upsetting the Sun will be difficult, though. Nevertheless, this Fever team has displayed the potential to upset the odds throughout the '24 campaign. Perhaps they will challenge the Sun in the first round of the playoffs.
