Caitlin Clark absolutely crushes previous WNBA record in Fever's win vs. Sparks
Caitlin Clark continues to make WNBA history. It seems to happen in almost every game at this point. Clark was at it again during the Indiana Fever's 93-86 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday. According to ESPN, Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to record 100 three-pointers in a season, accomplishing the feat in only 34 games.
Clark and the Fever clinched a playoff spot on Tuesday despite not even playing a game. The Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream both lost which led to the postseason honor for Indiana. The Fever are now focused on moving up standings even further before the regular season comes to an end.
Meanwhile, Clark will continue to break records. She isn't displaying any signs of slowing down late in the season.
Caitlin Clark's big game vs. Sparks
Clark certainly did more than connect on three-point attempts against the Sparks on Wednesday. Although it should be noted that the Fever rookie went 4-10 from beyond the arc. She also recorded a triple-double in the win, finishing the game with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Clark also added three steals.
Aliyah Boston played at a high level in the game as well, scoring 24 points and finishing with 14 rebounds. She added four assists. It appears that the entire Fever team has taken a step forward in the second half of the 2024 season. There is reason to believe that Indiana can make a deep playoff run.
The Fever will be challenged in their next game, however, as they will host the Minnesota Lynx.
