Arike’s Week

That was a tough two-game slate — the Aces and Storm combined to score 116 points on 143 field goal attempts. We move forward, however, onto another split slate with one game in the afternoon and one in the evening. This could be a tricky one, with some solid pricing, so let’s get into it!

Washington Mystics @ Chicago Sky

Washington faces off against Chicago in our first game, which is projected to be the higher pace of the two. Chicago plays at an above average pace, and should provide more possessions for Washington to score fantasy points. It all starts with Elena Delle Donne (11k DK, 8.5k FD), who is coming off two straight 20 point double doubles. It seems as though she is over her early season shooting woes, and is in a great spot to produce over 40 fantasy points.

LaToya Sanders (8k, 5.9k) is another option for the Mystics. Sanders has seen close to 30 minutes without Emma Meesseman, and is a significant contributor in the way of steals and blocks, which makes her a great play on FanDuel, where those statistics are worth 3 fantasy points. Ariel Atkins (7.5k, 5.5k) is also an option, but comes with a little more risk, as her minutes have been very inconsistent, one night playing 19 minutes, and another playing 29 minutes.

On Chicago’s side, their “everyone contributes” offenseis not the most helpful for daily fantasy. Courtney Vandersloot (10.3k, 7.9k) and Diamond DeShields (9.7k, 7.3k) are most likely to take over the game, but likely will fall into their roles and not be extreme fantasy point contributors. Vandersloot, however, has been 2 rebounds from a triple double this year, and easily could break out and grab another one for her career.

Interestingly, I am actually most interested in a three point shooter, Allie Quigley (7.2k, 5.7k), on FanDuel. Her price does not seem to be reflecting her production, as she has added even more rebounding to her arsenal. 5700 is just not enough for a 0.7fpm player who will likely play 30 minutes.

Connecticut Sun @ Dallas Wings

This game is going to be extremely interesting. On paper, the Sun are significantly better than the Wings, and there is real cause for concern over a blowout in this game. With that said, of course, everything starts with Jonquel Jones (10.8k, 8.3k). Jones has been one of the best DFS players so far this year, and she could easily grab a double double in this game. Alternatively, she could also play mid-twenties minutes if Connecticut gets up by enough.

Aside from Jones, Jasmine Thomas (7k, 5.8k) is also a tremendous play. Thomas has been a great contributor so far this year, and seems locked into close to 30 minutes almost regardless of the situation. Thomas is coming off of a 12 point, 7 assist outing, and a 13 point, 5 rebound, and 9 assist game. She should be in for another big one today.

On Dallas’ side, it all starts with rookie Arike Ogunbowale (6.8k, 4.9k). Ogunbowale has not been scared to shoot, putting up 26 shots in her last game, It seems as though she is being trusted to play more and more minutes after her minor ankle injury. She will be on a ton of my lineups on FanDuel, as 4900 is just not high enough of a price.

Allisha Gray (8.7k, 6.2k) and Kayla Thornton (8.2k, 6.4k) are the only other two players I have confidence in on the Wings. Both seem to be two of the most trusted in Bryan Agler’s rotation, and both produce fantasy points at around a 0.8 fantasy point per minute rate.
