Angel Reese is set to join the growing number of active athletes with podcasts/shows. The Chicago Sky star announced on Tuesday that she is going to debut a new show called the "Unapologetically Angel Show."
The show will be a product of Playmaker. There will be new episodes every Thursday, according to the show's X (formerly Twitter) account.
Angel Reese's immense popularity
Reese is one of the most popular athletes in all of sports. Although she is currently focused on leading the Sky, Reese has still had a number of off-the-court endeavors. She has earned plenty of brand deals and it has become clear that Reese is a true celebrity.
Her popularity began to increase during her time in college at LSU. Reese led LSU women's basketball over Caitlin Clark and Indiana women's basketball during the 2023 championship game in what was a highly-anticipated contest. Clark, of course, has also become a celebrity in college and the WNBA. The Clark-Reese rivalry is one of the most discussed topics in all of sports at the moment.
The Sky rookie has not let the fame distract her from leading the team. Reese has played at a high level for the Sky during her rookie season. She seems to break records in almost every game she plays.
Between her impressive play on the floor and emerging popularity off of it, Reese has a chance to become the face of the WNBA. Her new show will only help in that regard, as it is expected to receive plenty of attention.
