Angel Reese gives Tim Duncan the perfect reason to come out of hiding
Angel Reese is establishing herself as one of the best forwards in the WNBA. San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan accomplished a similar feat in the NBA. So would the Chicago Liberty rookie be open to training with Duncan in the offseason?
"I mean always learning from a legend is great,” Reese told Scoop B Radio. "For me, I love to pick people’s brains and pick a lot of great players’ brains so of course it would be great. I’m just worried about right now. I mean I can’t dictate who I workout with, I’m just looking forward to getting better at the moment.”
Duncan has not made many public appearances over the past few years. He was on the quieter side during his NBA career and it seems things haven't changed since he entered retirement. Perhaps he will be willing to work with Reese during the offseason, however.
What Angel Reese could learn from Tim Duncan
Reese is enjoying an impressive rookie season. She is seemingly always either recording or coming close to recording double-doubles. Reese is set to lead the Sky for years to come.
With all of that being said, she is still improving. At 22 years old, Reese has room to grow. Development is of the utmost importance.
Duncan was known for his elite fundamentals. He wasn't a fancy player, but Duncan found success by properly executing his game plan. Reese could learn how to torment defenders by learning from Duncan. He could also help her on the defensive end of the floor.
Whether Reese trains with Duncan or not, her WNBA future is extremely bright. Maybe Duncan will come out of hiding after Reese's latest comments, though.
