Caitlin Clark enjoyed a memorable rookie season in the WNBA. Not only did she win the Rookie of the Year, but Clark finished fourth in WNBA MVP voting. However, Clark feels as if she is only "scratching the surface."

"I feel like I'm just scratching the surface," Clark said in the video. "I feel like there's just so many areas that I want to improve in and to continue to get into the gym and work on that every single day."

Caitlin Clark's incredible rookie season

Clark, 22, had a great rookie season as mentioned. The Indiana Fever star recorded 19.2 points per game on 41.7 percent field goal and 34.4 percent three-point shooting. Clark added 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per outing.

She also helped the WNBA attendance increase significantly. The league broke attendance records in 2024, and although other players played a role in that, Clark and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese brought many new fans to the WNBA.

The league is continuing to grow. That was among the top storylines throughout the 2024 season. Clark may be ready to move on from that storyline, though. She wants to place her focus on improving and preparing to lead the Fever to a deeper postseason run in 2025.

Indiana reached the playoffs in 2024 but they were defeated by the Connecticut Sun in the first round. Reaching the postseason was an impressive accomplishment for the Fever given their previous struggles, but they want to take a step forward next year.

Will Caitlin Clark win the WNBA MVP Award in 2025?

Clark finished fourth in MVP voting as a rookie. She is surely going to improve this offseason, so will Clark be able to win the MVP as soon as next year?

Clark is unquestionably on the correct trajectory to win an MVP within the next few seasons. Winning it in 2025 will be difficult, as stars such as A'ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart will be among the favorites. Wilson won her third career MVP in 2024 and she will probably be in the conversation for the award once again next season.

With all of that being said, Caitlin Clark will receive serious consideration if she plays at a higher level. Of course, if the Fever can improve overall as a team then that will only help her argument.

Anything can happen, but Clark may find herself among the MVP favorites in 2025.
