A heck of a rookie season.

It's wild to think that Caitlin Clark was beginning her final season at Iowa this time last year. Look at all that she's accomplished in the past 365 days. The 2024 WNBA No. 1 pick broke records and racked up accomplishments during her rookie season.

She went on a tear in the second half of the season and propelled the Indiana Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Clark was named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year. Perhaps more impressive is that she was named to the All-WNBA First Team as a rookie on Wednesday.

Clark is the first rookie to make the All-WNBA First Team since Candace Parker in 2008 and the fifth to earn the honor, along with Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, and Tamika Catchings. She's following in the footsteps of all-time greats. Clark had about as good of a rookie season as you could have. Did anyone think she wouldn't?

She got off to a slow start but quickly found her footing in the WNBA. It's hard to go from playing in the NCAA Tournament to getting drafted to playing in the W within a few short months. Clark didn't make the Olympic Team, which, in turn, was a blessing in disguise. She enjoyed some much-needed rest and relaxation before she dominated after the Olympic break.

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark named to 2024 All-WNBA First Team

Clark joined A'ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, Breanna Stewart, and Alyssa Thomas on the All-WNBA First Team. Sabrina Ionescu, Kahleah Copper, Nneka Ogwumike, Arike Ogunbowale, and Jonquel Jones were named to the All-WNBA Second Team. That's some pretty good company for Clark to be in.

The star guard racked up individual accomplishments as a rookie and is already one of the best players in the league. When the Fever become a true contender, watch out. Clark's only going to get better from here. Imagine what she'll look like in season two with a full season and offseason under her belt.

The 2024 season hasn't officially ended yet, as the Lynx and Liberty are battling in the WNBA Finals, but Fever fans are already counting down the days until 2025. To say that Indiana has a lot to look forward to would be an understatement. The sky is the limit for Clark!
