Who will win the 2025 WNBA MVP Award? Will A'ja Wilson win the award for a second consecutive season and ultimately take home MVP honors for the fourth time in her career? Is Caitlin Clark set to make the jump? We recently asked X's (formerly Twitter) Grok to predict the top three MVP finalists and winner for the 2025 WNBA season.
Wilson and Clark are two of the most popular players in the league right now. They also happen to be two of the best players, with Wilson leading the way as arguably the greatest player in the league at the moment. However, does Grok expect Wilson and Clark to end up as MVP finalists this season?
Here are Grok's predictions for the three MVP finalists and winner in 2025.
Finalist: Napheesa Collier
Grok has Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Timberwolves as a finalist. It mentioned Collier's "two-way impact" as a reason for the Lynx star being named a finalist.
Collier, 28, earned the 2024 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. She also finished second in WNBA MVP voting, only trailing A'ja Wilson. Collier is capable of making a significant impact on both ends of the floor. She is a terrific offensive presence and is arguably the best defender in the WNBA.
Grok may not have Collier as its MVP winner, but it does predict the Lynx forward to finish as a top three finalist once again.
Finalist: Caitlin Clark
Grok is clearly expecting improvement from Clark in 2025. The Indiana Fever guard finished fourth in MVP voting in her rookie campaign in 2024. In 2025, however, Grok predicts that Clark will finish as a top three finalist.
Clark could have a big '25 season. She displayed signs of stardom last year despite dealing with inconsistency at times. If Clark can find the bottom of the net on a more consistent basis and limit her turnovers, 2025 could be a special season for her.
Grok's MVP prediction: A'ja Wilson
Grok expects Wilson to win another MVP in 2025. Wilson, of course, earned her third career MVP award last season. She is considered by many people around the WNBA world as the best player in today's game, and Grok seems to agree.
"A'ja Wilson's 2024 season was exceptional... making her a strong favorite for 2025," Grok wrote for its reasoning behind the Wilson MVP prediction.
Grok did mention that the MVP race could be "tight," however. It doesn't predict Wilson to win in a landslide.
Nevertheless, if Grok's prediction comes true then A'ja Wilson will take home her fourth career WNBA MVP Award in 2025.
