The Indiana Pacers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 136-98 in Paris on Saturday. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers to the win, and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark took notice.

Haliburton scored 28 points in the game. The Pacers guard added four assists and three rebounds. Indiana needed a quality bounce back performance after dropping their first game in Paris against the Spurs by a final score of 140-110. They certainly bounced back, as the Pacers cruised to a big win.

The Pacers are now 25-20 overall, while the Spurs fell to 20-23 with the defeat. Indiana is looking to make another deep postseason run again this season. Haliburton has endured his share of ups and downs so far in 2024-25, but he's still a star. If Haliburton can continue to lead the way, the Pacers should be able to make noise in the Eastern Conference postseason picture.

Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton's friendship

Clark and Haliburton are two of the most notable stars in all of Indiana sports right now. Both players led their teams to the playoffs last year. The two basketball stars have a friendship as well, as they often support one another.

The Pacers and Fever are both in quality positions at the moment. Both teams have continued to gain popularity while competing on the floor. Having established stars on each of their rosters has unquestionably been important.

Clark preparing for 2025 WNBA season

Clark is working hard this offseason as she hopes to take another big step forward in her second WNBA campaign during the upcoming 2025 season. She played well in 2024, en route to winning the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award. Still, Clark wants to improve in hopes of leading the Fever to a championship.

The Fever are preparing for WNBA free agency at the moment. Indiana already features a talented roster, but they would benefit from adding another star. Competing with the top teams in the WNBA is obviously a challenge, so adding another star could help Indiana reach the next level.

Perhaps the Fever won't make a championship run in 2025, but the future is bright for this team. The same can be said for the Pacers, who could also be active ahead of the upcoming NBA trade deadline. Indiana basketball fans are surely hopeful that both teams will find ways to improve.
