Caitlin Clark reacts to Tyrese Haliburton's big game in Pacers win vs. Pelicans
Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton have established themselves as two of the most notable stars in Indiana sports. Haliburton was often seen attending Indiana Fever games during the summer, and Clark has attended a number of Indiana Pacers games already in the 2024-25 NBA season. Clark attended Monday's game, a matchup that saw the Pacers defeat the New Orleans Pelicans by a final score of 114-110. She was seen reacting to Haliburton's seventh made three-point shot of the game, via the Indiana Fever on X (formerly Twitter).
There seems to be mutual respect between Clark and Haliburton. Clark is focused on preparing for the 2025 WNBA season, but she is still making time to watch the Pacers.
Rumors have swirled about Clark joining Sabrina Ionescu in the NBA-WNBA Three-Point Contest this year as well. The event, which featured Ionescu and Stephen Curry last season, was the highlight of NBA All-Star Weekend. The rumor this year is that Clark and Ionescu could go head-to-head with Curry and Klay Thompson. Adding Haliburton to the event would not be a bad idea, though.
Haliburton and Clark's Indiana connection would add another intriguing storyline. However, Haliburton is shooting just 32.9 percent from beyond the arc this year. Overall, though, he is a career 38.8 percent three-point shooter.
On Monday, Haliburton finished the game with 34 points and 13 assists. He went 12-23 from the field and 9-18 on his three-point attempts. It was a big outing for Haliburton who has struggled at times early in the 2024-25 campaign. Perhaps he is on the verge of bouncing back and finding consistency once again.
Pacers trying to find momentum
The Pacers reached the postseason last year. They even made a deep playoff run, ultimately falling short in the Eastern Conference Finals. Indiana is still trying to find momentum this season, however. They currently hold an 8-10 record.
If Tyrese Haliburton is able to begin playing at a consistent level, the Pacers will unquestionably take a massive step forward. He is one of the best guards in the NBA when he is playing up to his full potential.
The Pacers will play the Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons at home in their next two matchups. It will be interesting to see if Caitlin Clark makes another appearance at either game. Tyrese Haliburton, meanwhile, will look to carry the momentum of his quality outing on Monday into Wednesday's clash with the Trail Blazers.
