Caitlin Clark is back to playing in the WNBA after missing most of the 2025 season with several injuries, and it sure seems like the Caitlin Clark effect is back right along with her. On Wednesday the Indiana Fever announced that all 44 of the team's games wil be broadcast on national television this season, a major first for the team and for the WNBA as a whole. Per the team's release, four games will air on ABC, six games on ESPN, two games on NBC, three games on Peacock, seven games on ION, eight games on Prime Video, four games on CBS, nine games on USA, and one game on NBA TV.
The news demonstrates that major networks are anticipating a lot of interest in the Fever with Clark back on the court — something that makes sense, especially considering her prolonged absence last year.
Fever fans may have to adjust their Caitlin Clark expectations
The 2026 season seems as if it will also usher in a new direction for Clark, who told reporters this week she hopes to play off the ball more than she has in the past. In part, that's because bringing the ball down the floor each and every time is tiring, and she's also interested in growing her game.
As Clark put it, “It’s exhausting bringing the ball up the floor 94 feet versus pressure every single time, so we certainly need to find someone that can handle the ball a bit and give me a little bit of a break. I think Raven and Ty, even other people through camp, have done a great job.”
It's likely that this is exactly why the Fever signed Ty Harris and drafted Raven Johnson in the first place — the team needed more options so Clark can maximize her shooting potential on the floor. Johnson was known for her floor running during the four years she spent playing for the South Carolina Gamecocks, and Harris was the starting point guard for the Connecticut Sun during tjhe 2024 season. The suggestion that she play off the ball more has often been met with frustration and even rejection by a lot of fans, who are used to seeing Clark in one role.
Whether Clark is on the ball or not, Fever fans should be in for a treat this season. Clark and Mitchell are likely to put in dominant performances up and down the court, and Clark and Aliyah Boston's synergy rivals that of any in the league.
