Paige Bueckers is arguably the most exciting addition to Unrivaled in the league’s second season. She just won Rookie of the Year in the WNBA after a phenomenal first season. In Unrivaled, Bueckers will team up with the second-most exciting addition to the league’s player pool: Dominique Malonga.
Bueckers and Malonga headline a young, star-studded Breeze team that promises to be a ton of fun in Unrivaled’s fast-paced environment. Cameron Brink, Rickea Jackson, Kate Martin, and Aari McDonald round out the roster.
While there is a ton of talent on this roster and the team will immediately draw fans’ attention, Breeze BC is a very young team, especially compared to the other rosters in Unrivaled. A lack of consistent veteran presence around Paige Bueckers is something Wings fans are already familiar with after an injury-ridden 2025 season.
The Wings had a very young roster this season
Due to trades and injuries, the Wings experienced a ton of roster turnover during the season. They also had a lot of youth on the team. Nine players on the roster were 25 or younger at the end of the season. Seven of them were rookies. Grace Berger, Haley Jones, Diamond Miller, Maddy Siegrist, and Li Yueru were all only in their third season.
The only players who finished the season on the Wings’ roster and had substantial WNBA experience were Arike Ogunbowale, Myisha Hines-Allen, and Ty Harris. The latter only played five games before suffering a season-ending knee injury, and Ogunbowale missed 15 games due to injury. While both were able to provide veteran presences in the locker room and on the bench, Hines-Allen was the only vet who was consistently available on the court.
Breeze BC is also very young
Breeze BC features two players who just finished their rookie seasons in the WNBA and three second-year players, including Cameron Brink who missed most of her first two seasons with an ACL tear. 27-year-old Aari McDonald is the team’s veteran. She has been in the WNBA since 2021, acting primarily as a backup over 136 games played.
While this Breeze squad should be able to take advantage of its youth when it comes to speed and athleticism, its lack of overall experience could hurt it against more veteran teams—even though it should be noted that Kate Martin and Rickea Jackson already have one season of Unrivaled basketball under their belts.
Still, the contrast of Breeze BC’s youth compared to some of the other rosters is startling. The Lunar Owls, for example, have Napheesa Collier, Skylar Diggins, and Marina Mabrey, as well as Rachel Banham and Rebecca Allen. The Rose have Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Copper, and Azurá Stevens.
Dearica Hamby, Rhyne Howard, Courtney Williams, Brittney Griner, and Erica Wheeler are teaming up on Vinyl BC. Laces BC features Jackie Young, Alyssa Thomas, Jordin Canada, and Brittney Sykes. Natasha Cloud, Satou Sabally, and Kelsey Plum headline the Phantom’s roster. The Hive have Kelsey Mitchell, Monique Billings, Ezi Magbegor, and Natisha Hiedeman. Breanna Stewart is still on the Mist’s roster alongside veterans Arike Ogunbowale, Allisha Gray, and Alanna Smith.
