The rosters for Unrivaled’s second season are officially finalized. WNBA Rookie of the Year, Paige Bueckers, will headline one of the new clubs. Unrivaled’s first season went so well that the league added two teams: Breeze BC and Hive BC. The former will feature a ton of young talent. The team is made up of Paige Bueckers, Kate Martin, Rickea Jackson, Cameron Brink, Dominique Malonga, and Aari McDonald, and already promises to be an early fan favorite.
While it would have been great to see Bueckers play with some proven veterans like Napheesa Collier, Breanna Stewart, or Alyssa Thomas, for example, this Breeze roster gives fans one of the most exciting duos possible: the two top picks from the 2025 WNBA Draft. Bueckers, one of the best young guards in the game, will team up with Dominique Malonga, who quickly established herself as one of the most promising young bigs in the world.
Paige Bueckers and Dominique Malonga will be a lot of fun on the same team
Paige Bueckers did a little bit of everything in her rookie season in the WNBA, averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 steals. She is one of the most exciting scorers and playmakers in women’s basketball and her skillset should translate beautifully to the fast 3-on-3 style that characterizes Unrivaled.
Dominique Malonga’s numbers in her rookie season may not have been as impressive as Bueckers’ but she still established her unique talent
. Her length and athleticism will make her a great asset in a full-court 3-on-3 setting, and fans may finally be treated to Malonga’s first dunk as a pro in the U.S. 3-on-3 games naturally feature a lot of space, so there will be plenty of opportunities for Malonga to get an open lane to the rim.
Wings fans have been waiting to see Paige Bueckers play with an elite young center. Unrivaled will give them a first taste of what the future could hold for the Wings if they draft Lauren Betts or Awa Fam in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
The rest of the roster complements Bueckers and Malonga well
Putting Cameron Brink and Dominique Malonga on the same team feels almost unfair if you consider their size, wingspan, and talent. At the same time, it ensures that the team can always play a similar style of basketball no matter which big is on the court.
The rest of the roster also fits well around those three. Rickea Jackson will provide high-level scoring on the wing while Kate Martin can space the floor and do all the little things. Aari McDonald can take over ball-handling duties and bring a fast two-way presence to the table.
