Minnesota Lynx superstar Napheesa Collier has been dealing with a low back injury. On Thursday, the Lynx announced that Collier is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Atlanta Dream. The potential 2025 MVP winner is the only player currently listed on Minnesota's injury report for the game.

Napheesa Collier playing at MVP level in 2025 WNBA season

Collier has missed three games so far during the 2025 season. Minnesota still holds the best record in the entire WNBA with a 12-2 mark, though. Collier has certainly played an important role in the team's success, however.

The 28-year-old forward has averaged 24.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per outing while shooting 52.4 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from beyond the arc. Collier is taking the most three-point attempts per game of her career (3.5), yet is shooting the three at a career-best rate.

It has been a tremendous campaign for Napheesa Collier. The only thing that has been able to slow her down is the injury bug. The fact that she is listed as questionable for the Lynx's game against the Dream is encouraging, but her return is not guaranteed as of this story's publication.

It will be a situation for fans to keep tabs on ahead of tip-off. The Lynx will provide further updates before the contest on Friday night in Atlanta.

Minnesota Lynx looking to defeat Atlanta Dream on Friday night

Minnesota is hoping to bounce back following a disappointing 68-64 loss to the Washington Mystics on Tuesday. Prior to that game, the Lynx had earned three consecutive victories. Collier's injury absence certainly impacted the team's performance in Tuesday's defeat.

The Dream, meanwhile, hold a strong 10-5 overall record. Atlanta has quietly enjoyed an impressive '25 campaign so far. In fact, the Dream only trail the defending champion New York Liberty by 1.5 games heading into Friday.

Atlanta could challenge Minnesota on Friday evening. It should be a competitive game between the two talented teams. Napheesa Collier's final injury status has the potential to make-or-break the game for the Lynx, however. With that said, Minnesota still has enough overall talent and depth to earn wins even when Collier is not available to play. Napheesa makes the Lynx a much better team, though.

The Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream will go head-to-head in Atlanta on Friday night at 7:30 PM EST.
