Caitlin Clark's rookie season was quite impressive. She earned the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award, finished fourth in MVP voting and her team reached the first-round of the playoffs. It was a quality way to begin her career in the league. Clark and the Fever have even more notable goals for 2025, though.

"Caitlin Clark says success is winning a championship," Sara Jane Gamelli of Ballislife shared in an X (formerly Twitter) post on Wednesday. "Winning continues to be the goal among the Fever roster so far."

The Fever have a new head coach this season in Stephanie White. Clark wants to help her get another championship ring.

"We are going to try to get her another ring," the Fever guard said, via Gamelli. "She's already got one. Why not two?"

Fever have made an effort to improve

The Fever seemingly made an effort to improve their defense this past offseason. They were among the worst teams in defensive rating during the 2024 campaign. Although Indiana's offensive attack kept them in games, it became clear that defensive upgrades were needed.

Some reports have suggested that the Fever's defense has displayed improvement so far in training camp. It is far too early to claim that Indiana has completely turned things around on that end of the floor, but the early results are reportedly encouraging.

Caitlin Clark wants to take a step forward

As for Caitlin Clark, she made an effort to improve her overall strength during the offseason, something she believes will help her in 2025. Perhaps it will help her take the next step in terms of finishing at the basket and on the defensive end of the floor.

Overall, this Fever team appears to be confident in their ability to make a deeper postseason run in 2025. They had a taste of the playoffs last season, but now they want to reach the next level. Competing for a championship will prove to be an immense challenge with the New York Liberty looking to run it back.

Still, Indiana clearly has confidence heading into the new campaign. Many people around the WNBA believe the Fever could make some noise in the 2025 playoffs. The Fever know what to expect given their 2024 postseason experience, which could be a difference-maker this year.

Of course, the Fever are currently focused on preparing for the WNBA preseason. Their goals for the '25 campaign are attention-catching, however.
