For the last two years, the Chicago Sky’s Allie Quigley has been victorious in the annual 3-point contest. She will return to defend that title in this season’s Three-Point Contest presented by MTN DEW.

Joining Quigley will be Las Vegas Aces guard Kayla McBride, Chelsea Gray of the Los Angeles Sparks, the New York Liberty’s Kia NurseShekinna Stricklen of the Connecticut Sun, and Indiana Fever guard Erica Wheeler.

In addition to the Phoenix Mercury’s Brittney Griner, the Skills Challenge will include seven more competitors. The Chicago Sky contributes two guards in Diamond DeShields and Courtney Vandersloot. Two more teammates–guard Odyssey Sims and forward Napheesa Collier–come from the Minnesota Lynx. Connecticut Sun forward/center Jonquel Jones, Seattle Storm guard/forward Sami Whitcomb, and Atlanta Dream center/forward Elizabeth Williams round out the field.

The Three-Point Contest presented by MTN DEW will consist of two timed rounds. In each round, five spots will be placed around the arc. One of the five will include five balls that are each worth two points. The other four will consist of four balls worth one point each and a fifth “money ball” worth two points. The competitors have one minute to shoot as many of the 25 balls as they can.

Four of the six competitors in the 3-point contest will be eliminated in the first round. The other two will advance to the championship round.

The Skills Challenge will match the eight players in four head-to-head contests where they will demonstrate skill in ball handling, passing, agility, and 3-point shooting. The winner of each head-to-head match-up will advance to the next round. After the second round, two players will advance to compete for the title.
