Great times for fans with some basketball greats.
Swin Cash has mastered the game of basketball at virtually every level. But she wasn’t hiding the fact that she struggled to play wheelchair basketball Friday afternoon in Charlotte, where she participated in a Jr. NBA/WNBA event with fellow basketball greats Kristi Toliver and Steph Curry.
“Definitely not an all star,” Cash told our own Ari Chambers. “But I will say this. The game is played on so many different levels, and it is awesome to realize what muscles I need to use when I’m in the chair.”

The event drew hundreds of kids, and stars like Curry, Blake Griffin, Kemba Walker and other NBA stars in town for the weekend festivities were joined by WNBAers like Toliver (though, with her role as Washington Wizards coach, she’s really more of a crossover icon.)
The events come fast and furious during NBA All Star Weekend, with the Hall of Fame announcement and Celebrity Game coming up just on Friday. There will be more WNBA stars in the latter, including Stefanie Dolson and Sue Bird.
Saturday night includes the dunk contest, which will feature a pair of familiar faces for WNBA fans: A’ja Wilson, the 2018 WNBA Rookie of the Year and star of the Las Vegas Aces, and Candace Parker of the Los Angeles Sparks, who will be part of a future Hall of Fame announcement herself.
