While 2018 was not a championship season in Minneapolis, one title remained parked in the Twin Cities.

Maya Moore’s likeness earned the distinction of most popular Fathead WNBA figure of 2018, the company disclosed to High Post Hoops on Wednesday.

Moore dethroned 2017’s winner, Los Angeles Sparks star Candace Parker, during a season where much of the league’s attention was focused on Minnesota, from the 2018 All Star Game to Lindsay Whalen’s final season, even a viral photo of Moore with arms outstretched, holding a pair of basketballs.

Parker finished fifth in 2018, during a 19-15 campaign for her Sparks. Neither Moore nor Parker reached their customary spots in the WNBA Finals.

More from WNBA

A star who did reach the finals, Elena Delle Donne, ranked second in 2018 Fathead WNBA sales. Delle Donne’s Washington Mystics battled the Seattle Storm, falling in three games as Seattle won the title.

The team Seattle beat to reach the Finals, the Phoenix Mercury, are also amply represented on the 2018 top ten sales list. Diana Taurasi, who nearly willed her team back to another championship, ranked third, with Brittney Griner finishing eighth.

A number of key WNBA stars are sorely in need of their own Fatheads. First among them, for sure, is Breanna Stewart, the league MVP. The Storm have both a Sue Bird and a team logo, but the number of people looking to put a life-sized Breanna Stewart on their walls has to be enormous.

Speaking of enormous, a 6’8 Liz Cambage is another must for Fathead. A Chiney Ogwumike could be problematic—do they go with WNBA Chiney? ESPN Chiney? Vote here is for both.

Oh, and a Courtney Vandersloot-Allie Quigley would do quite well, too.

And it does the heart good to see the ninth overall seller in 2018, the great Tamika Catchings. The all-time leader in WAR in WNBA history belongs on a Fathead to stay, just as Michael Jordan remains available.
