The Atlanta Dream have signed forward Adaora Elonu to a training camp contract.
The Dream announced the move on Tuesday. Elonu went undrafted out of Texas A&M in 2012. She was a member of the Texas A&M team that won the national championship in 2011.
“I am excited to see what Adaora can do in our camp,” head coach Nicki Collen said in Tuesday’s release. “She is a versatile forward that is comfortable on the perimeter or in the post. I believe her greatest strength is her ability to defend multiple positions.”
Elonu currently plays for CB Avenida in the Spanish League, where she has led her team in scoring in EuroLeague competition.

“I coached against her in the NCAA tournament and have followed her professional career closely ever since,” Collen added. “She is ready to compete for spot in this league.”
Elonu participated in training camp last season with the Connecticut Sun, where Collen was an assistant coach on Curt Miller’s staff.
The Dream have been very busy this offseason in adding new players to their roster. Atlanta signees Renee Montgomery and Jessica Breland are two of the most notable players to change teams this offseason.
