The Phoenix Mercury have re-signed forward Camille Little.

The team announced the move on Monday. Little drew the start at the four spot in all 39 regular season and playoff games for the Mercury in 2017.

Phoenix has made several moves already with its frontcourt. The team signed six-time All-Defense selection Sancho Lyttle to kick off the free agent period. The Mercury were also involved in two sign-and-trade deals. They sent forward Cayla George to the Connecticut Sun in exchange for a draft pick. The Mercury also sent restricted free agent center Kelsey Bone to the Las Vegas Aces for two draft picks.

“Keeping Camille in a Mercury uniform was a top priority for us,” said Mercury general manager Jim Pitman in Monday’s release.  “She is a proven commodity in this league who comes to work every night.  We are excited about the options [Mercury Head Coach] Sandy [Brondello] will have with Camille, Sancho [Lyttle] and [Brittney Griner].”

It now appears unlikely that we will see an immediate on court reunion of Candice Dupree and DeWanna Bonner in Phoenix. The married couple just celebrated the birth of twins, and both were members of the Mercury in 2016. Dupree was an All-Star in 2017 for the Indiana Fever and has been cored by the Fever.
