Quigley had a career year in 2017, being named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team. Quigley also took home the three-point contest crown at All-Star weekend in Seattle.
Quigley was one of seven designated core players for the 2018 WNBA offseason. Tina Charles (New York) and Angel McCoughtry (Atlanta) headlined the list of 2018 core players.
Also among the list of players receiving core designations: DeWanna Bonner (Phoenix), Karima Christmas-Kelly (Dallas), Candice Dupree (Indiana) and Crystal Langhorne (Seattle).
Quigley broke out in 2017 alongside Courtney Vandersloot and 2018 restricted free agent Stefanie Dolson. The Summitt’s Howard Megdal reported Thursday that Dolson has agreed to return to the Sky. The two-time WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year logged a career high in minutes and doubled her previous high in assists for first year head coach Amber Stocks. Quigley posted impressive shooting splits of 50.5% (FG) / 43.0% (3PT) / 89.3% (FT) in 31 games.
The Sky have the third and fourth picks in the upcoming WNBA Draft, meaning Stocks will have the opportunity to add some young dynamic talent to a group that really hit its stride offensively once starting point guard Courtney Vandersloot returned from EuroBasket play.
The fourth overall pick arrived in Chicago via a trade with Atlanta during the regular season. While the Dream and new head coach Nicki Collen will not have the opportunity to draft in the top five this year, they will hope to quickly turn the tide after missing the playoffs in 2017.
The Chicago Sky finished last season with a record of 12-22. Chicago stuck around in the playoff hunt despite a 1-7 start. Vandersloot and Quigley each missed the team’s first three games.

Perhaps with a chance to get off to a better start in 2018, the Sky will be in line to compete for a playoff birth with Vandersloot, Dolson and Quigley leading the way.
