WNBA teams and players were allowed to begin negotiating deals January 15, but those deals can officially be signed now that the calendar has turned to February.

Here’s a running log of what we know so far:

Jessica Breland signs with Dream

One of the top unrestricted free agents not to be cored, Jessica Breland, has signed with the Atlanta Dream. Breland spent the past four seasons in Chicago.

Sky re-sign Quigley

The Chicago Sky have re-signed designated core player and 2017 All-Star Allie Quigley. Quigley is the first core player of this year’s crop to sign.

Aces acquire Bone in sign-and-trade

Continuing a chain of events from Thursday, the Aces have acquired Kelsey Bone from the Phoenix Mercury. The pick acquired yesterday was packaged along with the Aces’ 2018 third rounder and sent to Phoenix in exchange for the 2015 WNBA All-Star.

Wings re-sign Theresa Plaisance

The Dallas Wings announced the re-signing of restricted free agent Theresa Plaisance to a multi-year deal. Plaisance suffered a torn ACL in October playing for CCC Polkowice of the EuroLeague. Depending on how her rehab progresses, she may not see the floor at all in the upcoming 2018 WNBA season.

Mystics ink Hawkins, Hightower, Sanders

The Washington Mystics announced the re-signing of three players on Friday — Tianna Hawkins, Allison Hightower and LaToya Sanders. The Mystics were also active on Thursday, signing unrestricted free agent Monique Currie.

Sun acquire Cayla George via sign-and-trade 

The Connecticut Sun acquired reserved free agent forward Cayla George from the Phoenix Mercury in exchange for Connecticut’s 2018 2nd round pick (21st overall).

Paris signs with Storm

Unrestricted free agent center Courtney Paris has signed with the Seattle Storm. Carolyn Swords, Seattle’s backup center in 2017, signed with the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday.

Turner & Cannon to stay in Phoenix

The Mercury announced Friday that they have retained two of their reserved free agents. Turner, a bouncy and athletic wing, took over the second spot in starting lineup on the wing alongside Diana Taurasi toward the end of the regular season. Turner also shot 9-for-17 from deep in five 2017 playoff games.
