Minnesota-native Lindsay Whalen has purchased 300 tickets to tonight’s WNBA Finals Game 2 for local youth.

The Lynx guard will split the tickets between four youth-serving organizations in the Twin Cities area.

“We want to make sure the Barn is as loud as it can be for tonight’s game against the Sparks,” Whalen said in the Minnesota Lynx press release. “I thought of no better way to pack the arena than helping out various youth organizations in our community.”

While Whalen once owned the Barn as a member of the Golden Gophers, it is Los Angeles that will enter tonight’s game with the one game advantage. The Sparks got off to am impressive 24-xx lead in the first quarter of Game 1. The Lynx roared back, but fell one bucket short of the largest comeback in WNBA Finals history.

The Lynx moved to Williams Arena for the 2017 postseason. The team usually calls the Target Center home, but played the 2017 season at the Xcel Energy Center while the latter goes through repairs. A conflict with the preseason schedule of the Minnesota Wild forced the move to Williams.

Youth and families from ACES, MN ADOPT, Lynx Dream Team and Minneapolis North High School will be the special guests of the night. They will join the chorus of Minnesota fans willing the home team to a series-tying win.

Game 2 of the WNBA Finals tips off tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
