In the Eastern Conference, the Sky snapped a three-game skid last week, winning two games behind a pair of Vandersloot double-doubles. First, in an 81-70 victory in Indiana, Vandersloot had 18 points and 10 assists on 7-11 shooting. She followed that up the next night in a five-point home win over Atlanta with a near-triple-double. She had 26 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds, shooting 3-3 from beyond the arc and never turning the ball over. That was her fourth consecutive game with exactly 10 assists, and not surprisingly, her fourth straight double-double.

As for Johnson in the Western Conference, she also led her team to a pair of victories last week. Her 11-point and season-high 16-rebound performance against Seattle was a mere warmup for her 23-and-13 outburst two days later against the Sparks on 9-15 shooting. She shot 13-25 overall last week, good for sixth in the WNBA.

Both Vandersloot and Johnson earned Player of the Week honors for the second time in their careers.

Also considered for the award were Jonquel Jones and Alyssa Thomas (Sun), Skylar Diggins-Smith (Wings), Candice Dupree (Fever), Candace Parker (Sparks), Maya Moore (Lynx), Kelsey Plum (Stars), Breanna Stewart (Storm), and Kristi Toliver (Mystics).
