The Chicago Sky announced they have signed Bashaara Graves to a seven-day contract. The 6-2 forward was originally selected in 2016 by the Minnesota Lynx. She averaged 3.4 points during 12 games with Minnesota. She signed a training camp contract with the Indiana Fever earlier this year before being waived on May 8.

At the University of Tennessee, Graves finished third in UT history with 1,044 career rebounds. In her senior year, she averaged 10.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She shot 53.8 percent in her final season with the Volunteers.
Graves and the Chicago Sky take on the Indiana Fever Friday, August 4. This will be the return on Imani Boyette and Tamera Young will face their old team since being traded on July 28. The Sky host the Atlanta Dream on August 5.
Augustus still out
Minnesota will take on the Atlanta Dream without Seimone Augustus. This is the second game the 11-year veteran has missed for the Lynx. Jia Perkins will get her second consecutive start. Minnesota returns to action against the Indiana Fever on August 6.
Indiana sign Jen Hamson for remainder of the season
After signing a third seven-day contract, the Indiana Fever offered Jennifer Hamson a contract for the remainder of the 2017 season. She joined the team today for practice after signing her latest contract on August 1. The Fever return to action tomorrow against Chicago.
