Minnesota’s bench, even scarier
Here are some names on the Lynx’s bench: Renee Montgomery, Jia Perkins, Plenette Pierson and Natasha Howard. Pierson started for the Dallas Wings last season, and made a 2015 all star team. The other three would start for roughly any other team in the league. How is this a reserve unit?
Montgomery and Perkins are perimeter and penetrating threats that bottle up opposing guards defensively. Howard is an all-around chaos machine who will make every rebound or inside shot a tiring exercise. Pierson’s expanded her range behind the arc and fits in nicely replacing Janel McCarville. Every time these back-ups check in, it’s a reminder of how deep this team is. Terrifying.
