Cameron Brink is a rising star in the WNBA. The second overall selection in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, Brink's rookie season was limited due to an injury. Still, her future is bright and the Sparks are hopeful that she will play an impactful role in 2025. For those who may not be aware, Brink's godbrother is Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry. Given her relationship with one of the greatest NBA players ever, has Brink received any advice from Curry?

"My favorite advice from him before I got drafted, 'just enjoy every moment.' Especially the moments where you kind of have to be there," Brink said recently, via the Richer Lives by SoFi podcast. "You have to be there for pre-draft introductions, you have to be there for certain league requirements so why not bring levity and joy to every space."

Brink has many responsibilities as a star basketball player. Curry, who is one of the most popular athletes in the world, reminded Brink to "enjoy every moment." Brink seems to have accepted Curry's advice.

Curry has probably given Brink advice related to her actual basketball game as well. They do play different positions, as Curry is a guard and Brink is a forward, but still receiving the opportunity to talk basketball with a four-time champion is something Brink surely has taken advantage of.

Cameron Brink looking to have big 2025 season with Sparks

The Sparks finished with the worst record in the league last season. As mentioned, Brink was limited due to injury. She ended up only playing in 15 games as a result. Her expected return will help matters.

LA has the second overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Although they surely would have preferred the first overall pick, the Sparks will still have a tremendous opportunity to select a future star in the draft.

Dearica Hamby is a star who is set to lead the Sparks. She is one of the better players in the league. Meanwhile, the Sparks added Kelsey Plum via a trade this offseason. Plum's veteran prowess will also help the Sparks take a step forward.

The Sparks have an intriguing future. Los Angeles is probably still a year or two away from seriously contending, but one has to imagine that the team will play at a more consistent level during the '25 campaign, especially if Cameron Brink stays healthy throughout the season.
