Jewell Loyd and Kelsey Plum switched teams via a three-team trade on Sunday. The Los Angeles Sparks acquired Plum and the Las Vegas Aces acquired Loyd as part of the deal. So which WNBA star will be the next player to switch teams?

There are a number of players who could switch teams soon, whether through free agency or via trade. Brittney Griner reportedly wants to test free agency. Chennedy Carter will draw plenty of attention from potential suitors this offseason. However, there is one specific player who seems likely to be traded sooner rather than later.

The Dallas Wings made the move to core Satou Sabally. Nevertheless, Sabally previously told reporters that she has already played her final game with the Wings. As a result, a trade is expected to occur. Nothing is guaranteed, but it would be surprising to see Sabally in a Wings uniform during the 2025 campaign.

Sabally is one of the best players in the entire WNBA when healthy. With trade rumors continuing to dominate headlines, one has to wonder where Sabally may end up via a potential trade.

Satou Sabally possible trade destinations

Multiple teams could have interest in Sabally. The New York Liberty have been consistently mentioned as a suitor, but the Indiana Fever also may make sense for the star forward. The Golden State Valkyries, the WNBA's latest expansion franchise, would surely love to add a star to build around and Sabally could catch their attention as well.

Perhaps another team will surprise the WNBA world and end up acquiring Sabally. It remains to be seen where she will end up, but a deal seems likely to come to fruition.

The Wings are fresh off a difficult 2024 season. They dealt with a number of injuries which played a significant role in their underperformance. Sabally did not play during the first half of the season as she recovered from an injury.

Dallas is hoping to get back on track during the upcoming campaign. Trading Sabally obviously will not help that goal, but the Wings are expected to select Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. If the Wings can receive a respectable return in a potential Sabally deal, Dallas could realistically compete in 2025.

As mentioned, there are plenty of stars who could find new teams this offseason. Satou Sabally could be the next WNBA star to switch teams, however.
