Aces star A'ja Wilson's immediate reaction to incredible buzzer-beater vs. Sky

The Las Vegas Aces narrowly defeated the Chicago Sky on Sunday by a final score of 77-75. A'ja Wilson took care of business at the end of the game after connecting on an incredible game-winning shot, video via the WNBA.

Wilson is the MVP favorite for a reason. She is an excellent player who understands what it takes to get the job done in clutch moments. The Aces have endured some ups and downs since the Olympic break, so they needed a victory on Sunday. Losing to the Sky, a team that has struggled for the most part in 2024, would have been far from ideal to say the least.

Wilson shared a reaction on X (formerly Twitter) following the game.

"The Basketball Gods said “here.. D*MN!" Wilson wrote.

Again, Wilson is expected to win the MVP. Sunday's clutch moment only cemented her chances even further.

A'ja Wilson's terrific season

Wilson entered the game on Sunday averaging just under 27 points per outing, a mark that leads the league. She is also leading the league in blocks per game.

Wilson is a threat on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Her offensive performances often draw plenty of attention, but WNBA fans understand just how impactful her defense is as well.

The Aces now hold an 18-11 record as they look to defend their 2023 championship. Las Vegas will travel to Dallas to play the Wings on Tuesday in their next game. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 PM EST.
