Unrivaled finally revealed its roster for the league’s second season. With two new teams joining the six original clubs and plenty of new talent coming in, last season’s rosters didn’t stay intact. One thing that didn’t change is that Napheesa Collier is on the Lunar Owls, though.
Last season’s playoff teams were able to protect two players. The Lunar Owls chose Collier and Skylar Diggins. Collier suffered a season-ending injury in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals, but, as she didn’t opt out of Unrivaled like DiJonai Carrington did, for example, it seems she will be ready to go by the time the season starts.
The Lunar Owls have a lot of veteran talent, but also a glaring issue that Lynx fans are all too familiar with: A lack of size.
The Lunar Owls’ roster doesn’t feature a ton of size
The Minnesota Lynx had one of the most well-rounded rosters in the 2025 WNBA season, but they lacked some size compared to other teams. Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith made for one of the smaller frontcourts in the league and the guard rotation also didn’t feature much size between 5’8” Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman.
The Lunar Owls also feature one of the smaller rotations in Unrivaled. Rebecca Allen is the only guard over 5’11”, and Napheesa Collier (6’1”) and Aaliyah Edwards (6’3”) give up some size compared to most other big rotations.
Breeze BC has Dominique Malonga and Cameron Brink as well as 6’2” Rickea Jackson. Ezi Magbegor, Monique Billings, and Maddy Siegrist are teaming up on Hive BC. The Mist’s revamped roster features Alanna Smith, Li Yueru, and Breanna Stewart. Phantom has Aliyah Boston, Kiki Iriafen, and Satou Sabally. Rose BC has Shakira Austin and Azurá Stevens, and Vinyl’s roster is headlined by Dearica Hamby and Brittney Griner.
The Lunar Owls’ roster may not feature a lot of size, but the team can make up for it with a ton of versatility, 3-point shooting, and tough defense.
Collier and Diggins both ranked in the top ten in scoring last season, and Diggins only trailed Chelsea Gray in assists per game. Mabrey and Banham both finished the WNBA regular season in the top fifteen in 3-pointers made. Allen is also a proven 3-and-D wing.
Edwards, meanwhile, may not be as experienced as the rest of the roster, but she is a great young talent. She proved her potential when she made it to the finals of Unrivaled’s 1vs1 tournament, taking down Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray, and Arike Ogunbowale in the process. She may lack some size compared to other forwards in the league, but she can still cause some serious trouble with her versatility.
