JuJu Watkins led USC women's basketball to an impressive 80-67 victory against UCLA on Saturday night. The game received plenty of attention, but USC was able to pull off the upset after entering the contest as the No. 4 seed playing against the No. 2 seed. After the game, Watkins was asked what she has in store for the upcoming month of March, via Holly Rowe.

"Some wins," Watkins said.

It may be a short answer, but it is the kind of response that will unquestionably excite USC women's basketball fans.

How JuJu Watkins played in USC-UCLA game

The Trojans featured a balanced attack for the most part in the win. Kiki Iriafen scored 17 points and added nine rebounds. Talia von Oelhoffen recorded eight points, four rebounds and three assists. However, it was Watkins who led the way. The USC star, who is arguably the best women's college basketball player at the moment, scored 30 points while also finishing the game with five assists and three rebounds.

The 19-year-old is averaging 24.4 points on 42.9 percent field goal and 33.9 percent three-point shooting. She is also recording per game averages of 6.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per outing. Watkins is a terrific scorer, but she finds ways to contribute in multiple facets of the game as well.

Watkins is a great player. She is also receiving help from her teammates. Iriafen has begun to establish herself as a star alongside Watkins.

USC women's basketball is hopeful that Watkins and Iriafen can lead the team to a championship. There is plenty of work to do before potentially playing in a national championship affair, however.

USC women's basketball wins conference title

USC made the move to the Big Ten this season. Although some expected an adjustment period to be necessary, the Trojans immediately silenced their doubters. Saturday's win clinched USC's first conference title in the Big Ten.

There is no question that USC features an all-around strong team. Without JuJu Watkins, though, the Trojans would not be where they are at. She is a true superstar, and USC's future is bright with Watins leading the way. Even if the Trojans fall short of winning a championship this year, there will be hope for next season.

The goal, of course, is to take care of business this season, though. USC women's basketball will attempt to accomplish that feat.
