This year’s FIBA World Cup will take place in Berlin from September 4-13. The WNBA will be well-represented with Team USA as well as the many international players who compete in the league.
Some countries, such as the U.S. and Australia, have already confirmed their 12-player rosters. Others, like France and Belgium, have narrowed it down to player pools and preselect announcements, but have yet to finalize their rosters. Yet others, like Germany, haven’t announced anything yet.
So, this list will be updated as rosters are finalized.
Atlanta Dream
Confirmed: Angel Reese, USA; Rhyne Howard, USA; Isobel Borlase, Australia
Others: So far, Mali has only announced a preselect player pool with 23 players. Sika Kone was the team’s second-leading scorer at the World Cup Qualifying Tournament in China and should make the roster.
Chicago Sky
The Chicago Sky currently have no players on confirmed rosters or in preselect player pools.
Connecticut Sun
Leila Lacan and Nell Angloma are both in a stacked pool of French players that will give Team USA all it can handle. Lacan was a part of the 2024 Olympics roster and has a good chance to make the World Cup roster as well. 20-year-old Angloma, meanwhile, hasn’t made her senior national team debut yet.
Dallas Wings
Confirmed: Paige Bueckers, USA; Alanna Smith, Australia
Others: DP player Costanza Verona was named to Italy’s eighteen-player pool. She was already on the 2025 EuroBasket roster and played at the World Cup Qualifying Tournament this year.
Golden State Valkyries
Gabby Williams is the star of the French national team and sure to represent the team in Berlin. Janelle Salaün was a member of the Paris Olympics team and played at the EuroBasket tournament last year and this year’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament. France has a stacked pool of players, but she should make the roster. Much like Williams for France, Cecilia Zandalasini is the face of the Italian national team.
Indiana Fever
Confirmed: Aliyah Boston, USA; Caitlin Clark, USA
Las Vegas Aces
Confirmed: A’ja Wilson, USA; Jackie Young, USA; Chelsea Gray, USA; Stephanie Talbot, Australia
Others: Japan has yet to narrow down its fifteen-player pool, which features Mai Yamamoto, to twelve.
Los Angeles Sparks
Jihyun Park made Korea’s list of 13 players who were announced for a training camp in May.
Minnesota Lynx
Confirmed: Napheesa Collier, USA; Chloe Bibby, Australia
Others: Antonia Delaere is featured on the list of 19 players who made Belgium’s preselect roster. Likewise, Eliska Joklava and Emma Cechova were nominated for Czechia’s roster in May—before the latter tore her ACL. Dorka Juhasz should be a lock for Hungary’s roster if she wants to play after just returning from injury.
New York Liberty
Confirmed: Breanna Stewart, USA
Others: Youngsters Pauline Astier and Marine Fauthoux both have a chance to make France’s roster, and Raquel Carrera is on the list of players hoping to make Spain’s final roster. Germany is certainly hoping that Satou Sabally and Leonie Fiebich will play, but nothing has been announced yet.
Phoenix Mercury
Confirmed: Kelsey Plum, USA; Kahleah Copper, USA; Sami Whitcomb, Australia
Others: Kyara Linskens will likely suit up for the Belgian national team, and Noemie Brochant has a chance to play for France.
Portland Fire
Megan DiLeo has been a star for the Spanish national team for a few years now. Carla Leite, meanwhile, has a chance to make her debut with the French senior national team. Luisa Geiselsöder and Frieda Bühner should make the German team once it’s announced.
Seattle Storm
Confirmed: Ezi Magbegor, Australia; Jade Melbourne, Australia
Others: Dominique Malonga is in France’s deep player pool, and Awa Fam is on the list of players expected to suit up for Spain.
Toronto Tempo
Julie Allemand is pretty certain to play for Belgium, and Maria Conde for Spain, but neither roster has been officially finalized.
Washington Mystics
With Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen not on Team USA and Georgia Amoore not playing for Australia, Alicia Florenz is the only Mystics player potentially headed to Berlin with the Spanish national team.
