Caitlin Clark is ready for the Indiana Fever's regular season. She's ready for the final preseason game, too. Clark confirmed at practice on Friday that she plans to play against the Dream on Saturday. She was dealing with a leg injury that kept her out of the team's first preseason game, but she played against the Brazilian National Team last Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Clark said she has been taking her time with the injury and feels "really good." She credited the medical staff, saying they've been "really helpful."

Head coach Stephanie White said on Wednesday that Clark had been limited in practice, causing fans to worry about the star's status. However, the Fever wanted to ensure the guard didn't overdo anything with their first regular-season game on May 17.

Clark said she couldn't pinpoint when the injury happened, but she said it wasn't anything major. She described it as a "little tightness" in her left leg.

Fans are excited to watch Clark play against Atlanta in the final tune-up before the regular season. Clark has high expectations in her second season in Indiana, not just individually. The Fever made several offseason moves that turned the team into a contender.

Continuing to build that chemistry is key, and it starts with Clark. It's good knowing that the injury shouldn't impact her status for the start of the regular season, which is what fans were most concerned about.

Clark had a relatively quiet offseason. She decided not to play in the inaugural Unrivaled season, an understandable decision, considering she had a busy 2024. Rest is critical to optimal performance, something that Clark understands, so she didn't rush back into things full speed after dealing with discomfort in her leg.

Clark is always must-see television, even if it's only the preseason. She already has the highlight of the WNBA season thus far with her logo three on Sunday. Maybe she'll add to her preseason highlight clip on Saturday, but what matters is that she feels good and isn't dealing with any setbacks.

The real fun will begin in eight days for the Fever when they host Angel Reese and the Sky. You know Caitlin Clark will be ready for that one!
