It turns out Azzi Fudd has a pretty wild Taylor Swift connection: she and Travis Kelce, aka the future Mr. Swift to the rest of us, are good friends.

The UConn star and Kelce collaborated on American Eagle's newest campaign, released Wednesday, August 27. On the same day, Kelce joined his brother Jason Kelce for the pair's "New Heights" podcast and heaped praise on Fudd, who he described as "one of the best basketball players in the country."

The campaign also features Ohio State football star Jeremiah Smith, Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, North Carolina tennis commit Anna Frey, Syracuse guard Kiyan Anthony, and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee.

And it turns out the campaign wasn't the first time the pair connected — in 2022, Fudd posed for a photo with Kelce alongside her NFL Flag Football National Championship team.

Could Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce show up at a UConn game?

Travis' comment sparked a huge question: could he and Swift pop up at a UConn game this season? Apart from how incredible a photo of Kelce, Swift, and Geno Auriemma meeting would be for fans of all three, the duo have expressed an interest in attending women's basketball games before — and plenty of players are certainly fans of the singer and the football star.

Swift was joined by the Fever's Caitlin Clark at a Kansas City Chiefs football game in January 2025. Clark, who is a loud and proud Swiftie, later said she spent a lot of time at the game explaining what was going on to the pop singer, who was still learning the ropes.

Since then, Fever fans have hoped to spot Swift at a game — preferably with Kelce in tow. The pair haven't shown up yet, but that might be in part due to the fact that Clark has spent most of this season out with various injuries. It's currently unclear if Clark will be able to return to the court this season, so that means that Fever fans may have to wait a little longer.

But the collegiate season begins later this year. Of course, there's one snag: women's college basketball overlaps with the professional football season for most of the fall and winter, which means the earliest Travis and Swift could show up could be closer to March Madness (if they show up at all).

Either way, the seeds for an appearance have already been planted — kind of. Back in October 2024 Auriemma compared Fudd's girlfriend, Dallas Wings star and UConn graduate Paige Bueckers, to Swift. While speaking to reporters, he said of Bueckers, "I vary from calling her Paige Swift or Paige Kardashian because she’s everywhere, but people don’t see the work she’s put in."
