The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Chicago Sky 80-75 on Sunday. It was a competitive game that saw Chicago fall short in the end. One of the primary talking points from the contest was the Sky's lack of free throw attempts. The Lynx finished with 17 free throw attempts, while the Sky had just eight. The situation frustrated Chicago star Angel Reese, via the Chicago Sky on YouTube.

"We fought really hard," Reese told reporters after the loss. "It's tough when you talk to officials and I ask them, 'hey, we've only been to the free throw line twice up until the fourth quarter.' And she tells me, 'it's not her job.' It's frustrating."

Reese then explained that the Sky "battled" hard in the paint. However, the team seems to feel as if more calls should have been made. Reese only attempted two free throw attempts in the entire game despite taking 16 shots from the field.

"But that has to be fixed," Reese continued. "And I don't give a d*mn if I get fined because that sh*t cheap. And I am tired of this sh*t. Because I've been nice and I've been humble with it, but I am tired of this sh*t."

Reese is having a respectable season overall. It was recently announced that she earned her second WNBA All-Star appearance.

On Sunday, Reese finished the game with 16 points to go along with 17 rebounds and six assists. She did turn the ball over six times, but Angel still made a significant impact overall as the Sky challenged the best team in the WNBA in the Lynx.

Reese's postgame comments would not be her final thoughts on the officiating situation. A fan posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) that appears to show Lynx players making contact with Reese on an attempted layup. Reese quoted the post and wrote "diabolical" as the caption. She later quoted another post and directly called out the WNBA's account on X.

"idgaf. DO BETTER. @WNBA," the Sky star wrote.

The WNBA's decision on a potential fine has yet to be announced. Reese does not care if she is fined, though. The Sky forward wants to see change when it comes to officiating in the league. She clearly is not content with how games are being called at the moment.

Angel Reese and the Sky will hope for better results against the Washington Mystics on Tuesday morning at 11:30 AM EST.
