Game 3 of the 2024 WNBA Finals is right around the corner as the series is currently tied 1-1. The Minnesota Lynx upset the New York Liberty in Game 1 in what was a thrilling game. However, the Liberty bounced back with an impressive Game 2 victory. New York may be in a good position to win the series now, but Minnesota will not go down without a fight.

Without further ado, here are three intriguing takeaways for Game 3 of the 2024 WNBA Finals.

3. Napheesa Collier has a big game

Great players step up in big games. It is just the way sports tend to go. Sure, some stars have struggled in the big moments, but the great players find ways to step up.

The Liberty defeated the Lynx 80-66 in Game 2. Collier was fairly efficient but did not have a jaw-dropping game by any means. She ended up with 16 points on 7-12 shooting from the field. Collier added eight rebounds and three assists in the defeat.

Game 3 will ultimately determine which team has true momentum in the WNBA Finals. Collier and the Lynx understand how important the game is. As a result, fans can expect Collier to score 25 or more points while leading the Lynx.

2. Liberty's three-point shooting keeps it going

The Liberty enjoyed a tremendous performance from beyond the arc in Game 2, shooting 45.8 percent from deep. Will they be able to continue shooting the ball well from three-point range on the road, though?

The short answer is yes. New York has confidence in their ability to knock down three-point shots right now. They may not shoot over 45 percent again, as that is truly an eye-opening feat, but the Liberty will have another quality performance in reference to their three-point shooting.

1. Liberty defeat the Lynx in a competitive game

Game 3 will likely be competitive as the Lynx host their first contest of the series. In the end, however, the Liberty should be able to find a way to win. They turned the page after their difficult Game 1 loss and won Game 2 in convincing fashion. When New York captures any kind of momentum, all opponents can do is hope for the best.

Again, Game 3 will probably be competitive. The prediction here is that the Liberty will take a 2-1 WNBA Finals lead, however.
