The Wings release 2019 draft pick

The Dallas Wings waived forward Morgan Bertsch earlier this afternoon, who had previously signed a training camp contract back in February. Bertsch was originally drafted by the Wings in the third round of the 2019 draft. She most recently averaged 13.8 points and 5.6 rebounds for SpartaK Vidnoe in the Russia PBL. After what was thought to be a second chance to make the roster for Bertsch, has come to an abrupt end. The Wings also

waived Kaela Davis

last month. Dallas is now down to fifteen players on the roster with many cuts still to be made to get to twelve, which according to the AP’s Doug Feinberg, needs to happen by May 26.

With the league start still up in the air, it gives the Wings more time to analyze and trim their roster so expect more cuts from Dallas soon, as well as the rest of the league.
