Departures

Ayana Mitchell (13p/66.7%FG/8.5r), Mercedes Brooks, Jaelyn Richard-Harris, Latoya Ashman, were all seniors in 2019-20.

Returners

Leading scorer and PG Khayla Pointer (14.8p/144a/62s/4r), center Faustine Aifuwa (10.9p/7.9r/63b), Awa Trasi (6.5p/3.7r/22s/16s), Jailin Cherry (5.8p/29a/35s) all return as seniors. Tiara Young (sophomore), Emily Ward (sophmore), Dominique Davis (sophomore), Jalaysha Thomas (sophomore) and Sharna Ayres (sophomore), Rakell Spencer (senior) are also returning.

Arrivals

LSU has one JUCO additon, one transfer and two incoming freshmen.

Guard Ryann Payne – a 5’6 transfer from TCU, she averaged 8 minutes and 2.9 points, and added 20 steals and 16 assists to the season.

Guard Destini Lombard – a 5’9 Louisiana native and three-star recruit will be a freshman in 2020. Nikki Fargas called her “one of the best athletes we have on our roster” and complimented her playmaking ability in the announcement of her signing.

Forward Treasure Thompson – the 6’3 lefty is a three-star recruit with the ability to score and be placed in a couple of positions in LSU’s lineup.

Forward Sarah Shematsi – a junior college transfer from South Plains College, who can stretch the floor, averaged 12p/5.3r and shot 40.4%FG and 36.3% 3PT as a sophomore. She’ll have fellow France native Trasi with her on the team.
