Departures

Chennedy Carter was drafted into the WNBA. Shambria Washington was a senior as was Jasmine Williams and Cheah Rael-Whitsitt.

Returners

Guard Kayla Wells (13.1p/2.7r/53a/34p), center Ciera Johnson (12.1p/6.8r/40a/34blks) and N’dea Jones (11p/11.7r/41a/43s/19blks) return as seniors. Aaliyah Jackson and Anna Dreimane also return as seniors. McKinzie Green a sophomore.

Arrivals

The Aggie have three incoming freshmen, two transfers, a transfer now eligible, and a JUCO addition.

Guard Jordan Nixon – sat out the 2019-20 season after transferring from Notre Dame following her sophomore season.

Center/forward Ella Tofaeono – an Aussie from Midland Junior College who averaged 14.6 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in 2019-20. Gary Blair called her a versatile post player who loves physical contact – that’s beneficial in the SEC.

Guard Kay Kay Green – a 5’6, five-star point guard, who will be expected to work her way into for the starting PG role in the SEC as a freshman.

Forward Maliyah Johnson – a 6’2 Texas native who is a four-star recruit, who Blair described as a versatile four with the ability to play at three positions while guarding any of them.

Center/forward Kenyal Perry – a three-star true big who is expected to grow into a “dominant post” at A&M. Fun fact she was coached by LSU All-American and WNBA player Temeka Johnson in Baton Rouge.

Guard Zaay Green – a transfer from Lady Vols, missed the 2019-20 season (her sophomore year) due to an ACL injury. On the SEC All-Freshman team after averaging 9.6 points per game and 4 rebounds. Green is a former teammate of Ciera Johnson’s.

Guard Destiny Pitts – a transfer from Minnesota, who shot 49% 3FG and averaged 16 points per game prior to her departure. The 2018 Big 10 Freshman of the Year and 2019 All-Big 10 player.
