Baylor’s Lauren Cox out indefinitely with foot injury
A heavy loss for the Lady Bears
Baylor senior forward Lauren Cox sustained a foot injury and will miss an undetermined amount of time, the school announced Wednesday.
The Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year suffered “a stress reaction to the second metatarsal on her right foot,” per the team’s release. Baylor medical staff will “treat the injury aggressively to ensure further progression.” Cox will return when her symptoms subside.

Cox sprained her MCL in the 2019 national title game, but avoided surgery and was able to spend the summer rehabbing the injury.
“I hate sitting out and not being able to play, and I definitely missed it,” Cox told ESPN in August.
