Survey says WNBA players have strong feelings about Disney
A new exhibit that will appeal to the WNBA’s best.
On Monday, the NBA Experience was unveiled, with NBA commissioner Adam Silver and both Mickey and Minnie Mouse on hand for the event.
But the new exhibit, which features a ton of WNBA interactive displays, films and trivia, represents more than just a chance to gives fans another entry point to appreciate the league.
For as long as they’ve been alive, the Disney experience has been open in the hearts of the WNBA players.

A survey of 24 WNBA players reveals that many of them have strong feelings about the company’s films, heroes, even villains. Just as the league itself features stars and role players, so too does the list of favorites. Tina Charles loves Aladdin best, While Natisha Hiedeman is partial to Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe favors Tea Cup from Beauty and the Beast (“Be Our Guest” is her favorite song), while both Morgan Tuck and Han Xu are supporters of Mulan.
I’m impressed by Elena Delle Donne’s range here, frankly: her two favorite characters are Elsa and Goofy, two very different emotional experiences, but an obvious opportunity for a spinoff franchise.
Delle Donne’s favorite Disney song, though, is “Let It Go”, a popular choice — Tiffany Hayes and Marie Gülich prefer it as well. Zahui B.’s favorite is “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat” from the Aristocats, though, a deeper cut, but a great one.
