2020 WNBA mock draft: Big Board 2.0 with team projections
3. Dallas Wings select Beatrice Mompremier, 6’4 F/C, Miami
Though she likely would have been selected in the first round in the 2019 draft, Beatrice Mompremier returned to school because she wanted to improve as a player. And there are clear areas for her to do so, while her immense talent will almost certainly place her in next year’s lottery selections. Mompremier is a dominant force on the boards, top-100 in the country in both offensive and defensive rebounding rate. She has a dazzling array of post moves, plus quickness and athleticism, and can shoot it from midrange, though beyond the arc is still a work in progress. But Mompremier is a 4/5 option who doesn’t sacrifice rebounding for offensive efficiency, and that matters in a Brian Agler system like few other things.
