Their group of WNBA and NBA ambassadors, which also includes Dwyane Wade, Mike Conley and Rick Carlisle, “will watch the competition, interact with the youth teams and participate in leadership development programs” throughout the week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort, according to a press release.

The tournament, now in its second year, brings together the top 13- and 14-year-old boys and girls teams from around the world with support from FIBA and USA Basketball. During the week, the players will participate in “activities designed to reinforce the Jr. NBA’s core values and provide the players with development opportunities and memorable experiences,” which Stewart and Cash will help facilitate.

Of the 16 participating American girls teams, three are represented by current WNBA alumni: Ariel Atkins, Chiney Ogwumike and Nneka Ogwumike all played for Cy Fair Elite of Houston, Candice Wiggins and Kelsey Plum played for the San Diego Waves and Kelsey Mitchell played for All Ohio Red of Cincinnati.

Internationally, eight boys and eight girls teams will be representing Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, China, Europe & Middle East, India, Latin America and Mexico. Overall, the participating teams advanced from regional competitions that encompassed over 15,000 youth players from 75 countries.

FOX Sports will air 16 games throughout the week across FOX, FS1 and FS2, including the girls and boys Global Championship games on Aug. 11 at 3:00 p.m. ET and 4:30 p.m. ET, both on FOX. All games will be telecast live and simulcast on FOXSports.com as well as the FOX Sports app.
