It’s on, the Big 12/SEC challenge games are in

The 2019-2020 matchups are set for the Big 12 and Southeastern Conference women’s basketball challenge.

Dating back to when the challenge began in 2014, the Big 12 and SEC matchups have been nothing but competitive.

“The Big 12/SEC Challenge has provided our institutions a quality non-conference opponent for the past few seasons,” said Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby. “These high-quality matchups help prepare our teams for the demands of Big 12 play and are a great showcase for women’s basketball.”

Over the past two seasons both the Big 12 and SEC have split the challenge games at a 5-5 slate.

This upcoming season, every team from the Big 12 will take on an SEC opponent, while 10 of the 14 teams from the SEC will participate.

What is notable about this challenge is that teams will not face the same opponent twice, meaning every season there are fresh matchups, five at Big 12 campuses, five at SEC homes.

The challenge will begin on December 4, 2019 and end on Sunday, December 8.

Unlike last season, the games will be played over the course of four days, as opposed to the 2018-2019 challenge where the games were played on November 29 and December 2.

So which are the best of these matchups?
