Milestone watch: WNBA coaching totals to watch in 2019

While Cheryl Reeve has the best win percentage in WNBA history, no coach has more total wins than Mike Thibault, who went over 300 wins last season with the Mystics. He also went over 100 wins and 200 total games coached in Washington in 2018.

His eyes are on leading the Mystics back to the Finals with a nearly identical roster to the one he led there last year, but there is also a major individual milestone in sight this summer. With his seventh* game this season, he will join Dan Hughes as the only two to coach 550 games in the league. Interestingly enough, the Mystics’ seventh game is on June 14 when they host Hughes and the Seattle Storm in a Finals rematch.

* Again, the game forfeited by the Aces to the Mystics last year is not being counted toward Thibault’s totals.
