A difficult salary cap in 2020 just got even tougher with the addition of Chiney Ogwumike. Remember, as of now, this chart does not include Chelsea Gray, who multiple sources around the league have indicated will almost certainly return to the Sparks, nor Riquna Williams, also expected back in Los Angeles. Put another way: if this collection of big-heavy talent and shooters doesn’t mesh well under Derek Fisher, the rebuild won’t be easy. If it does work out, the Sparks are set to run it all back in 2020 with minimal potential defections. So it’s quite a big bet here… Just saying, Alana Beard somehow at less than max salary defies everything I know about value… Tierra Ruffin-Pratt on a one-year deal, $56,375 might be the biggest bargain in free agency this offseason…
