6. Minnesota Lynx: Napheesa Collier, 6’1 F, Connecticut

Look, there’s a reason why Geno Auriemma players make sense for Cheryl Reeve. And there may not have been a more Geno-type player than Napheesa Collier since… Maya Moore? Collier is a max-effort, skilled force in every way. For the Lynx, she can provide rebounding, defending on the wings in a way the team lacked at times last season, a chance to score on her own or by being fed, and the one thing she isn’t elite at yet — three-point shooting — just happens to be something the Minnesota coaching staff is particularly adept at improving. (See Brunson, Rebekkah for one recent example of many.) Collier is solid-to-spectacular in every single area, a Lynx player Reeve can deploy without making tradeoffs at one end or the other. Great, great value at the six spot.
