Eastern Kentucky- OVC

Departed coach/record:  Chrissy Roberts, 11 seasons (122-194 overall, 68-118 in the OVC)

Reason for departure:  Roberts’ contract was not renewed. The team has had a losing record in four of the last five seasons, including going just 2-27 (0-18) this season.

New coach/previous position: Samantha Williams, Louisville assistant coach- A highly respected, long-time assistant, Williams comes to Eastern Kentucky after a stellar eight seasons on Louisville’s bench. During her times, the Cardinals have been to two Final Fours, including one national championship appearance, and the team has gone 234-53.

Williams has also served as an assistant at Duke, Auburn, DePaul, Butler and Columbus State. She had an excellent playing career at Auburn before eventually joining the coaching ranks.
