Holy Cross- Patriot

Departed coach/record:  Bill Gibbons, 34 seasons (613-410 overall)

Reason for departure:  This one is murky. Gibbons was suspended on January 31 following the result of an internal investigation by the school into a personal matter. What that personal matter was we still don’t know, but the school announced Gibbons would not be returning to his position. Gibbons said that Holy Cross is not allowing him to comment on the manner, but that he would as soon as possible.

*New coach/previous position:  Ann McInerney, Holy Cross associate head coach- McInerney, who has been on staff at Holy Cross for 11 seasons, takes over the head coaching role on an interim basis and will hold that position for the 2019-20 season. A former head coach at Merrimack College and the University of Maine, McInerney may have an audition season with a chance to get the position permanently if the team finds success.
