Louisiana-Monroe- Sun Belt

Departed coach/record:  Jeff Dow, 5 seasons (44-103 overall, 22-72 in the Sun Belt)

Reason for departure:  This one is interesting. Dow announced towards the end of the season that he would be moving on from the school once the season concluded. While he expressed gratitude for the school and town, he also made some not-so-subtle suggestions that the school’s lack of funding made it difficult to be successful.

New coach/previous position: Brooke Williams, Alabama assistant coach: Coming over after three seasons at Alabama, Williams will take over a program in need of some rebuilding. She’s no stranger to the head job though, as she is the winningest coach in McNeese State history. Both schools face similar challenges in terms of resources, so Williams should be prepared to handle the task at hand.
